Nunca sabremos si fue un buen invento, porque 40 años para la vida de un diario no son tantos, pero son muchos para uno que fue fundado poco antes de que internet cambiara la industria para siempre, el modo de hacer periodismo, que no el periodismo. Entonces el diario fundado por Allen Neuharth: no local, sin ciudad en su cabecera, impreso en diferentes plantas de la geografía norteamericana... empezaba a vislumbrar un estilo rápido, conciso, colorido, visual que se puso en poco tiempo al tope de las ventas en los Estados Unidos.
En esta casa no somos partidarios de la autorreferencia: con esta portada USA Today pretende que la noticia bomba del siglo es su 40 cumpleaños. Hay otros modos de hacerlo que no son usar la portada de las noticias, pero igual es una tapa de colección. Aquí se la dejo.
